- Quantitative Research: CD and DVD sales
In this table, there are a list of 10 artists and it shows the figures of how many of each of their CD's were bought in a few different countries, these are the four main listed countries. Cd and DVD sales are also important as are box office figures, it gives people an idea of what is most popular and what is not so popular, this can also be helpful for media producers as this means they can see clearly what would need to be improved and what is more of a success than another DVD/CD they had previously released.

Here is an article on the telegraph about CD and DVD sales, according to the telegraph the sales of CD's and DVD's are dropping, it seems that people are preffering to download them onto a smart phone or tablet rather than having the actual physical copy, This has to affect CD and DVD producers as this means they are losing money because people would rather have a copy that has been downloaded instead of physically.
